As we return to the office, so is the return of elevated basics/suiting but the fits remain relaxed and the colors vibrant. Think oversized blazers and trousers in rainbow and neon. Another twist on basics is a much more minimalistic vibe in monochromatic, neutral color schemes with interesting tailoring and construction to bring visual interest.
Another equally cool summer style is channeling past decades with trends that feel very nostalgic for millennials but embraced by Gen Z. I myself love to experiment with the newest jean trends with the resurgence of the bootcut, wide-leg, and very grungy styles that make me want to tie a flannel around my waist and listen to Nirvana. Other styles to play around with reminiscent of this decade are square-toe sandals, cargo pants, tube tops, slip dresses, and platform slides.
Our obsession with athleisure remains hot. Streetwear and preppy vibes collide with matching sets, tennis skirts, headbands, tube socks and dad caps, and sneakers. And if preppy isn’t your thing; high fashion streetwear is still on our shortlist with brands like Yeezy, Jordan, and Supreme.
Oh, and if you are going out, GO BIG! You no longer need to save sequins, sparkle, or metallic for a special occasion. It’s your time to shine so don’t forget to always go for it, in fashion and in life!
