I’ll be honest, over the past few years the NSale has lost a bit of its luster for me. BUT with a whopping 6,345 items this year, I combed through a TON of merch and there is some stuff I do think is worth adding to cart. Plus in my mind this sale has always marked the unofficial start to fall shopping and boy do I love any excuse to get a head start on that.
If you do nothing else, the style/fit of a good pair of jeans can literally make an entire outfit look polished and expensive. So if you haven’t yet jumped on buying yourself flared, wide leg or relaxed styles you can score yourself a pair on sale from AG, Mother, Frame, Good American or Pistola. And if you happen to be stocked up on denim, get yourself a pair of faux leather leggings like this pair from All Saints.
Another category that’s plentiful on the sale are jackets and outwear. They have many classic wool coat options for us New Englanders from timeless brands like MaxMara, Vince and Theory. Nanuska, Zadig & Voltaire and Cinq a Sept have some more edgier jackets if your style typically leans a little less tradtional like myself. Also if you’ve been waiting to splurge on the perfect back-to-work blazer or leather jacket – this is your time! Check out this tweed one from Veronica Beard or my all-time favorite biker jacket from AllSaints.
As for footwear, I see the chunky platform shoe trend continuing to be hot hot hot into Fall this year. I am absolutely obsessed with this boot from Ash (buying!) with the chain link detail but they have other great options from Frame, Charles David and AllSaints. Western/cowboy boots are still all the rage as well, and I recommend trying a colored or white pair from Dolce Vita to be a bit more fashion forward while not having to splurge.
I wouldn’t invest a lot of time shopping handbags as there isn’t much of a worthwhile selection, but this signature box clutch by Cult Gaia is a must buy. Lastly they have limited Athleisure options, but get deals on Alo and Nike while they’re still in stock.
All in all to me this sale doesn’t live up to all the hype and I wouldn’t go spending your entire fall budget. However, if you can get your hands on some of the better items before they sell out, you can score great pricing on key pieces for the fall wardrobe.
Xo,
Amanda
